Jeannette Rankin recording, 1938-1941.

This collection consists of a recording of Jeannette Rankin in a radio program (April 6, 1938) with Sen. Ernest Lundeen, and George Norris. All voted against entering into WWI give their reasons why and why they would again. Also includes recording of floor debate (1941) following President Roosevelt's "Day of Infamy" speech in which Rankin is heard trying to object but is being drowned out. (OH 2094)

Jeannette Pickering Rankin (June 11, 1880 – May 18, 1973) was an American politician and women's rights advocate, and the first woman to hold federal office in the United States.
